Faculty of the 1946 Black Mountain College Summer Art Institute, Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center collection

BMC famously admitted black students before nationwide desegregation efforts. Our collection highlights lesser-known students that were recruited through the college's "Interracial Program" and similar efforts in the 1940s. Relevant faculty are also shared, and guests that came to the college under the Rosenwald Fund.
