Robert Creeley was faculty at the college from spring 1954 to fall 1955, in English and Writing. He was also Editor at the Black Mountain Review, December 1953-1957. Creeley was a well-known avant-garde poet. While at Black Mountain, he was the editor for the Black Mountain Review.
Poetry Foundation wrote a biography on Creeley and his of work.
