Norm Weston was a student from 1933 to 1936 and worked as Assistant Treasurer from the spring of 1935 to fall of 1939.

Mary Emma Harris shared this short bio for BMC Project, "Norman Weston (1913-2000) was one of the founding students who transferred from Rollins College to Black Mountain College (BMC) in 1933. He received his M.B.A. degree from the Harvard Business School and was Senior Vice President and Trust Officer for the National Bank of Detroit. He received the Outstanding Merit Award from the United Negro College Fund and was president of the Founders Society of the Detroit Institute of Art. He retired Trustee Emeritus at the Museum."

Mary Harris has long been regarded as one of the most prominent scholars on Black Mountain College. Her book, "The Arts at Black Mountain College" (1987), is one of the most influential publications on the history of BMC.
