Helen Lounsbury

Helen was listed in college documents as a "hostess," but she also assisted regularly in the theater department. She's noted as helping to create costumes and wigs for theater productions until her resignation in 1944.

Helen's resignation letter is in her faculty file at Western Regional Archives. She shared her distaste for the state of the living quarters, the "undress" of students, that she would spend hours on a nice meal for students to attend in her home and they'd show up dirty and barefoot from the work program, and that a police dog roamed the building she lived in.
